      Since January 2007 I have been working at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) as a research scientist within the 'utilisation of animal genetic resources' group. I lead the project 'Senegal Dairy Genetics' which aims to identify which breed / cross-breed of dairy animals is most appropriate for smallholder farmers in Senegal to keep. I am also involved in other projects implemented in countries including Uganda, Somalia, The Gambia, Mali, Guinea, Senegal and Vietnam.
